The latest schedule for the symposium—a printable pdf document—has been added to the “Schedule” page, underneath the timetable on the page. You can also download it by clicking here.
At the end of the talks by the speakers, there’ll be a panel on which they’ll all feature to table your questions. There’ll also be an additional panelist: me.
If you’re not familiar with me, my name’s Anthony Hogg. I’m a vampirologist and editor-in-chief of Vamped.org. I’m the guy who’s been writing (most of) these posts. I run two blogs, Did a Wampyr Walk in Highgate? and The Vampirologist. I’ve also been collaborating with Dax Stokes and Erin Chapman to turn the symposium from a dream into a reality.
I’ll be flying out to Texas tomorrow morning from Melbourne for the (ugh) 17 hour flight. I’ve never even been to the US before. That’s how much I believe in this event.
Travel time aside, it’ll be worth it to see the speakers and my colleagues, Erin and Dax. Erin is my co-collaborator on Vamped.org. It’ll be the first time we’ve met in person (she lives in Vancouver, Canada).
This is a huge journey for me in more ways than one. You’ll see what I mean, soon enough. In the meantime, looking forward to meeting everyone there. Hope you can make it, too.
In the meantime, here’s something to whet your whistle: a distilled view of my thoughts on vampires in an interview Nadine Moritz conducted with me through her blog, My Addiction. Presenting: “Comprehensive Interview with Anthony Hogg a Vampirologist, on Absolutely Everything Vampire” (May 29, 2015).
